Annals to launch revamped website in spring 2020
Philadelphia, PA, December 3, 2019 — The American College of Physicians (ACP) is migrating the website of its flagship medical journal, Annals of Internal Medicine, to Atypon’s Literatum publishing platform in spring 2020.
“Atypon’s commitment to remaining on the cutting edge of publishing technology will allow us to deliver trusted Annals of Internal Medicine content and enhanced user experiences for our website users. We plan to leverage Atypon’s platform to support several exciting new initiatives and to expand our discoverability,” said Diane Scott-Lichter, Senior Vice President of Publishing at ACP.
The new website will continue to deliver all of the highly regarded Annals of Internal Medicine content —from research articles, clinical guidelines, and commentary, to blogs, podcasts, and CME courses. Moving to the Atypon platform will enable ACP to dynamically generate user-specific content to deepen user engagement. The ACP staff is committed to a seamless transition and will keep website users informed of its progress throughout migration and relaunch.
“We plan to explore new and innovative ways to deliver content to our readers. Our new publishing platform will help us more efficiently connect time-challenged professionals with important scientific information that helps to advance the practice of medicine,” said Christine Laine, MD, MPH, Editor in Chief of Annals of Internal Medicine.
“It is always gratifying when another publisher joins the Literatum community,” said Marty Picco, General Manager, Atypon. “We are honored to be chosen by Annals of Internal Medicine, such a venerated and influential journal in the medical community.”
