Research and Innovation faces several challenges due to information overload. Traditional keyword-based search methods and tools are insufficient for handling the vast amount of data, making it difficult for researchers, policy makers, and publishers to manage information efficiently. Atypon, a publishing technology company, supports scholarly publishers and is developing tools to streamline researchers’ workflows.
To address these challenges, Atypon is working on diSCovAIr, an AI-driven platform designed to collect, integrate, and analyze a wide range of content from various sources. This platform will use machine learning to provide advanced services such as semantic search, personalized recommendations, and impact analysis. diSCovAIr aims to reduce information overload, enhance access to research, and maintain Atypon’s market leadership while promoting open research and continuing education.
diSCovAIr is partially funded by the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation” (EPAnEK), which is one of the seven Sectoral and thirteen Regional Operational Programs of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (NSRF) for the period 2014-2020, approved by the C (2014) 10162 final EU Decision of 18/12/2014.
