Atypon Acquires RedLink®, the Data and Engagement Home for Scholarly Communications

June 21, 2019

Santa Clara, CA – Atypon, the technology leader in the scholarly publishing market, has acquired RedLink®, the provider of key data and insights for academic publishers, libraries, and consortia. RedLink’s portfolio includes Remarq®, the popular article-sharing, commenting, and annotation platform for researchers.

RedLink’s data and engagement products, Library Dashboard, Publisher Dashboard, SiteLeads®, and Remarq®, are a natural fit for the publishers and institutions whom Atypon serves, and a natural extension of Atypon’s own publishing product portfolio.

“RedLink has a fantastic technology team,” said Marty Picco, General Manager of Atypon. “We look forward to working with them to further enhance the products they’ve developed.”

“Atypon is the ideal home for the next phase of RedLink’s growth,” said Dimitris Spanos, Redlink’s CTO and first employee. “Their depth of engineering resources will further RedLink’s ability to deliver distinctive results.”

RedLink will continue to provide publishers and institutions with valuable insight into how content is used, and give researchers and practitioners a powerful tool for organizing content and connecting with others in their community.
